Zebra

The zebra is a member of the horse family, its exterior appearance – black-and-white stripes – unmistakeable. However, no two animals have the same pattern of stripes.

The biggest difference between it and the horse the absence of the genuine long tail and the longer ears. Zebras achieve a shoulder height of up to 140 cm. As zebras are herd animals, they are considered to be very sociable, and they like to be in large groups. Zebras communicate with each other using gestures and sounds – for instance, they will greet each other by touching noses.

Zebras are very playful. Unlike the domestic horse and donkey, it has never really been possible to truly tame a zebra. They have always been too stubborn and wild.
