Data protection is an important issue for us. In the following data protection regulations, you will learn if and when we collect and process which data.
Data protection information
APASSIONATA World GmbH, Kantstrasse 24, 10623 Berlin (hereinafter “We“), as operator of this website, is responsible for the collection, processing and use of users‘ personal data (hereinafter “You“) within the meaning of the German Federal Data Protection Act.
We protect your privacy and private data in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Federal Data Protection Act and the German Telemedia Act. The following data protection provisions govern the nature, extent and purposes of the collection and use of your personal data.
1. The collection and use of personal data
You can normally use our on-line services without revealing your personal data. Personal data within the meaning of the provisions of the Data Protection Act is detailed information about your personal and material circumstances. This includes your name, address or email address in particular.
We normally only collect and use your personal data to the extent necessary for the performance of the services you require (e.g. ordering tickets or other products) during the use of our website.
2. The use of tracking tools
Our website uses Google Analytics and Google AdWords. These are what are called “tracking tools” which help us to design our website and services so that they are more interesting for you. By collecting information about your preferred activities on the website we can align our website and services to your specific interests and so, for example, display advertising which is consistent with your personal interests. To achieve this we use what are called “cookies” on this website. Cookies are small text files which are saved on your computer and which enable us to recognise your Internet browser. You can normally delete these cookies at any time by using the data protection function of your Internet browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case it may not be possible to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.
The following section describes the purpose and mode of operation of the tracking tools we use:
a) Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analysis service operated by Google Inc. (hereinafter called “Google“) in the USA. The information about your use of our website compiled by the cookie is normally sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If the IP anonymising process of this site is activated, within the member states of the European Union or in other signatory countries of the Agreement on the European Economic Area your IP Google address is shortened by Google before being sent. It is only in exceptional cases that the full IP address is sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. Following instructions from ourselves, Google will use the information it receives to evaluate your use of our website in order to compile reports of the activity on the site and to provide additional services in connection with site use and Internet activities. These reports can also contain demographic attributes. Your IP address is not aggregated with other Google data.
We would also like to inform you that on our website Google Analytics was “augmented” by the code “gat._anonymizeIP();” in order to ensure that your IP address is collected in an anonymised manner (sometimes called “IP masking”). You will find more detailed information about this at: www.google.com/analytics/terms/gb.html
As we informed you earlier, you can prevent the retention of data by cookies through an appropriate setting of your browser software. In addition, you can also prevent the capture of data produced by the cookie concerning your use of our site (including your IP address) and its transmission to and processing by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available via the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
b) Google AdWords
The Google AdWords conversion tracking tool we use is operated by Google in the USA. Google uses a cookie for conversion tracking if you access our website via a Google advertisement about Apassionata GmbH. These cookies cease to operate after 30 days and do not provide any personal identification. We are only informed about the total number of users who clicked on an advertisement and were redirected to a site equipped with a conversion tracking tag. If you do not want to be part of the tracking process, you can deactivate the automatic installation of cookies by means of your Internet browser settings. You will find additional information and Google’s data protection statement at:
3. Use of your email address for sending confirmations and newsletters
If you place an order via an event service-provider (e.g. Eventim) you may receive a confirmation by email. If you purchase a ticket via Eventim for one of our performances, you will be informed by email about further similar performances. You can decline to receive these emails at any time.
You can also subscribe to our email newsletter via our website. We use these newsletters to inform you about further performances, products or services from ourselves or members of our Group.
In order to optimise and design our performances and products in line with demand, from our email newsletters we capture (for example by means of so-called ”tracking pixels“) whether an email was opened and which links in the email the reader clicked on. However, this information is only processed in an aggregated form (e.g. “92% of all recipients opened the email”) with the result that we cannot draw any conclusions about the behaviour of individuals. If you want to object to this use of data you can do so by unsubscribing to our newsletter. Each email contains a simple method of unsubscribing.
4. Disclosure of your personal data to others
We do not disclose your personal data to third parties unless you have either consented to this, or disclosure is necessary to perform our services or we are entitled or obliged to disclose the data because of the provisions of law and/or an official or judicial order.
5. Hyperlinks to third party websites
Our website can contain hyperlinks to and from third party websites. If you follow a hyperlink to one of these websites please note that we cannot accept any responsibility or warranty for the contents or their privacy policies. Please therefore satisfy yourself about the applicable privacy policies before you disclose personal data to such third party.
